Finally!!

As a thank you present from friends, I got an entire roll of batting. I've had lots of quilt tops done but haven't had a chance to finish them. THANK YOU FRIENDS!!! I love that my good friend knows I'd rather have batting than anything! She was also the one to convince the parents of the softball girls I coached to just give me money instead of a gift card. She knew I had my eye on some Gorgeous fabric that still makes me smile when I peek at it in my bookcase (now I just need to get up the courage to cut it).

My friend has also begun a new business-machine quilting!! We've had so much fun picking out patterns and watching the process! She is fabulous already! Here are some of the projects I've been able to complete in the last month.

This was one of the first quilts I made (2 1/2 years ago). Its almost finished-it just needs binding. Notice the cherries in the quilt- it is quilted with cherries and backed with minkie!

I used birthday money last year to buy this adorable fabric-Aneela Hooey's Sherbet Pips. Little girls on swings and on scooters with scarves. Very Sweet. I didn't quite have enough so friends bought me some more-another thank you gift! I LOVE the geometric quilting (Jill's idea) Still needs binding as well.

This is Tait's quilt. Poor kid picked it out almost 2 years ago. I feel he's getting a little old for robots but he says he loves it. My favorite part of this quilt is the rocket quilting. Amazing!

This is the 3rd Christmas this quilt top has been finished. I HAD to get it done. It is a more traditional quilt, very pretty, backed with minkie. It turned out better than expected.

Believe it or not I was given this funky Christmas fabric because "someone" had made enough quilts out of this fabric and was done with it. I LOVE this quilt. So simple, so crazy and the red minkie is over the top. The very best part of this quilt-the snowflake quilting!!!! It's UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Baby Quilts

I'm so happy to have been able to make these quilts for my cousin's beautiful babies!!!  If they were for anyone else, I may not have been able to part with them!!  I absolutely fell in love with all these fabrics as well as the patterns (As you know, I was already in love with Good Folks!).  I have had to peek at my pictures of these several times since they were mailed because I missed them!

Evelyn's quilt
Heather Bailey's Nicey Jane fabric and Baby Bricks pattern

Ruby "the fighter"'s quilt
Heather Bailey's Pop Garden and Bijoux fabric and Thimble Blossom's Pint Sized pattern

Annabelle's quilt
Anna Maria Horner's Good Follks with a touch of Innocent Crush in a Disappearing Nine Patch pattern.

I really feel these quilts match my cousins' tastes and personalities.  I hope they think so too!!
